If you've found your way here, you may already know that my name is Bill and I enjoy writing songs about God. If you did not know that, well now you do. I hope to be faithful with the songs I write. I'm not sure I know how to do that, but I think this website is a start. It contains the lyrics, chord charts, mp3's, even the stories behind the songs. And it is all free to you. So look around. Enjoy. And thanks for stopping by.

(pre-chorus) Lord, I don’t need a song, I don’t need any words Lord, just hear my heart, hear it burst…for You
(chorus) I love You, Lord, I love You I love You Lord, I love You Its not just something that I sing and shout
I love You, Lord, I love You I love You, Lord, I love You This is my heart and its pouring out to You
(verse 2) The Breath that breathed life into man Is the same Breath that speaks to me again and again The Creator of all that I see Is the same Man that gave His life for me
That God is both infinite and intimate is a mystery beyond my ability to comprehend. Yet it is also a truth that demands a response.
This is one of my very first songs (I wrote it in the spring of 2001). I had the lyrics to the verses for a long time, but I could never settle on a chorus. Not until one night, when the infinitude and intimacy of God overwhelmed me to the point that I couldn't muster up anything more profound or clever than "I love you, Lord", did I realize that the chorus to this song needed to be simple. It needed to allow space for people to respond to God.
I actually look at this song as two parts: the verses tell us about God, the chorus gives us a way of responding to Him.
